Audio Cues

Audio control for live performance

Audio Cues is an app for Android devices. With just an Android phone or tablet, or even a Chromebook that supports the Google Play Store, you can create and run simple sound designs for theater, dance, and other live shows. It can also be used by yoga teachers, massage therapists, or anyone else who wants to create and run playlists of music and other sound effects.

Where to get the app

Audio Cues is available from the Google Play store as a free download. The free version allows up to 2 shows on each device and up to 10 cues per show. An in–app purchase adds support for Unlimited Shows and Cues.

Audio Cues can also be purchased from Amazon, where it's primarily intended for use on Fire tablets. When purchased from Amazon, the app supports unlimited shows and cues without additional purchases required.

On Google Play, Audio Cues is free to download. The Unlimited Shows and Cues in–app purchase is priced at US $6.99 or local equivalent, plus sales tax or VAT as applicable.

On Amazon, Audio Cues is available for purchase at US $6.99 or local equivalent, plus sales tax or VAT as applicable.

On both Google Play and Android, the price will increase to US $9.99 or local equivalent on January 1, 2023. Purchase before the end of 2022 to lock in the current price.

New release in public testing

November 2022: An upcoming release fixes a long-standing issue: Cues with delays or triggers of "With previous cue" or "After previous cue" now work correctly even when the app doesn't have focus. Also, support has been added for new notification permissions on Android 13. This release has many internal changes, so please test your shows thoroughly before using it in live performance.
